We are a dedicated team of GP Obstetricians committed to producing the best outcomes for mother and baby without exorbitant fees.

In addition to our obstetric services we work as GP’s at Armitage Medical Centre which has been providing longstanding support and care to families in the Armadale and Kelmscott region. We understand and value the importance of continuity of care and are dedicated to providing individualised care supported by an exceptional team of midwives.

Our maternity unit has the lowest Caesarean section rate and highest vaginal birth after Caesarean (VB AC) rate in Western Australia, and is amongst the top performers in Australia.

Armadale Kelmscott Hospital is an accredited Baby Friendly hospital where the mothers informed choice of infant feeding in encouraged, respected and supported.

Water birthing is an option provided there are no risk factors. 

24 hour epidural and anaesthetic services are available.

The Origyn team is comprised of Dr Garry White, Dr Ben Wade and Dr Alison Philpott.

Many may recognise Dr White’s name as it is synonymous with the provision of Obstetric services in the Armadale Kelmscott region for the past 25 years. He has completed Advanced DRANZCOG surgical training, to further differentiate him as an experienced, highly qualified GP Obstetrician.

After training at KEMH, Dr Wade has distinguished himself by obtaining his Advance DRANZCOG. He now provides services as a GP Obstetrician at Armadale Kelmscott Memorial Hospital.

Dr Philpott is locally trained and has been supporting women through all stages of their pregnancy journey for many years. Trained predominately at King Edward Hospital she has worked across many of the local maternity hospitals in WA and is currently working out of Armadale Hospital.
